Daniel Frieling of eMedRecords uses QR Codes to Potentially Save Lives

Daniel Frieling of eMedRecords has found a way to make life simpler and potentially save lives with QR codes. Using QR codes, he can track lot numbers in the event of a vaccine recall.

He has created a QR code with QR stuff that goes on a PVC card (similar to a credit card) and contains COVID vaccine data. You can see a sample card below.

The immunization dates and relevant info are printed on the front and the COVID vaccine form is printed on the back for convenience. The QR code itself links to the full-size original.

Daniel has been in the immunization scheduling/tracking business for almost 30 years. He is leveraging his own technology and creating a private immunization registry starting with COVID. This will help free people from carrying their paper COVID vaccine card to prove their vaccination status.

Another innovative and clever idea for which QR codes can be used!
